A quick thank you (as usual) to The Wife for passing along a few stories and on to the news while I try to figure out how July is almost upon us . . .
- There are beers out there that just require you to be on a beach with sand between your toes to fully appreciate them. This is a short list of beers that fall into that category and serve as a reminder that I have not been to the beach in a long, long time.
- It has been around for a while, but is just now put into my mind as a place I should try to get to on my next trip to Baltimore. My fingers are crossed for another trip early next year.
- If I am going to have the opportunity to try various beers from overseas it is only fair that the people of England get to have the same opportunity with beers from the United States, Of course selfishly I just hope that they leave enough beer here for me before shipping it over the ocean.
- Here I am just keeping myself informed on the options I will have when The Wife and I get ourselves to Minnesota to visit my Midwest Beer Correspondent.
- Reading this only makes me want to get myself back to Oregon to do my part on the amount of beer made in the state that is consumed within the borders of that state.
- With the 4th of July just a few days away, there is no doubt if you are looking to drink some red, white, and blue that finding a blue brew to celebrate with will be the hardest to get your hands on.
- Not necessarily to go specifically after some refreshing wheat beers (actually not that at all), but I need to find a way to make a trip to North Carolina at some point to get some brewery visits in.
- Speaking of necessary travel, San Diego should find a way into my travel plans as well. However even if I really enjoy the beers there (as I am sure I will), my bias and part of my heart will likely always be with Seattle.
- This is turning into as much of a travel post as it is a news post today as I continue on by linking to some Canadian craft beer that I will likely have to get on a plan some day to have a chance to try.
- There is a long list of brewery related news here, but the one that caught my eye was the Dogfish head one. I did not know the extent of the brewer turnover that they have had to deal with in the last year.
- Though I think that there is some under-compensating going on in this list, I do like the idea of an established beer barter system as I too grew up in an area where at times beer was on par with cash.
