It has been a while since I have had to do most all of the heavy lifting in putting together the weekly beer news so I almost forgot how long it sometimes takes me to do so. There will be no more taking my various contributors for granted from here on out.
Much to get to . . .
- At first I was drawn to this because it is highlighting a few more wineries that have turned to brewing beer to give visitors even more options and reasons to visit. Well, that and the fact that I did not know there was a Missouri wine country. Then I left the article simply wanting to try the Witbier described at the bottom.
- In bringing baseball and beer even closer together, there is a big lager being brewed with the name of a very big player on the label.
- For a short read you can find out where SABMiller has added to their portfolio.
- After that investment perhaps an update is necessary to this very cool beer brand ownership chart.
- Though I have always wanted to have a patent on something I can honestly say that I am very glad not to have come up with any of these beer related inventions.
- Since I am not in Portland this weekend to check out the premiere, it was nice to have an article that presents a little about some of the women that will be in the film.
- First you can get as closer look at the recent financial information before moving on to an interview with the CEO of the Craft Brewers Alliance to see what he says about it all.
- While some beer business is up, there is also some that is significantly hurting in a place far, far away from here.
- Change a law that has been around in the UK for over three hundred years and poof, half a million new glasses appear out of nowhere. Quite the magic trick.
- Aside from living in New York State for the first twenty-something years of my life I continue to be drawn to stories of the hop growing revival there mostly because I am interested in what characteristics the hops may have that differ from those grown elsewhere.
- Closing with more brewing news from New York State partly because it always catches my eye (see comment above) and also just to see if Syracuse Rob is paying attention.
