Since I had some fun making a beer themed video last night, the beer news today will be about me! I am typically not much of a self-promoter, but making the video was fun and I thought maybe some of you would enjoy it.
In the last hour of work yesterday I learned of a contest via the Brookston Beer Bulletin where I could enter to win a week in Oregon as an intern at a brewery. I was already planning on doing a batch of home brew after work, so that really put me into a beer thought frenzy from which my brain is only now recovering. I left work a bit early and by the time I was home the concept for the video had been planned out in my head. I wanted to get it out of the way before starting to brew.
The Wife agreed to run the camera and gave me a few suggestions before we started. The amazing thing (to me) is that the video you see is the first take and without editing. We didn’t have to stage anything in the house (except a quick run to the closet) and my brewing supplies were already in the kitchen. Keeping all of those beer related items around came in pretty handy.
It went so smoothly . . . Maybe we should start developing a concept for a television show? Well, at the very least you will likely start to see some video posts on this site. Below is the video for your viewing pleasure. If you like it be sure to give it a high rating since that could help me win a consolation “people’s choice” award if I am unable to take home the big prize.
Without further delay . . .

Great video Lucas!
Best of luck to you on the contest
While I am not an overly emotional type person, after watching this video and hearing you utter the line “I work so that I can drink beer at night”, I have to admit I got a little choked up. I would imagine it equates to the same feeling a parent might have when they see their child take its first steps. Well done grasshopper.
