The beer content still trumps all, but I do very much look forward to “Random Thought Sundays.”  I feel that this day may often take the form of a “You know what really grinds my gears?” segment from Family Guy, but I am definitely OK with that.

With that, here are my general complaints for the week.  As I sit enjoying my Sam Adams Octoberfest (thank you to Rob for the availability alert), I am considering a possible video blog in the spirit of Peter Griffin to unleash my day to day frustrations with society.

  • There is no place in which it is appropriate to walk four people wide!  Not a sidewalk, not a mall, not a retail store, not anywhere.  You are blocking the entire aisle and are obviously oblivious to the world around you.
  • If you have a mattress and other various furniture strapped to the top of your sedan, you do not belong in the left lane of the highway with your hazard/four way lights on!  You are holding up the entire universe and we don’t enjoy the anticipation of a chair coming through our windshield.
  • If you are a bar and the only beer you have on tap is Coors Light, don’t even bother.  I would rather not have an option of draft beer than that be the only option.

And that is what really grinds my gears . . . for this week.

Now back to your happy, easy going, beer loving guy.  I think there are some good things in store this week for the site.  At this moment, here is what I know will be on the way:

  • Tomorrow will be a summary of the “Taste of the Nation” event that The Wife and I attending last night here in Orlando.  I will also be announcing a prize (two prizes actually) give away for the visitors of this site!
  • “My Tasting Ways” will be on to “Tasting” this Wednesday . . . probably the favorite part of beer evaluation for everyone.
  • The Wife has randomly chosen the beer reviews for this week from my Black Book of beer.  This week will be Lion Lager (from Sri Lanka) and Rejewvenator Harvest to Harvest Ale (Year of the Date) from Shmaltz Brewing Co.

I am excited about the prize give away and revisiting another good Shmaltz brew.  It was a good weekend and it’s shaping up to be a good week!
