It just has to be said that it is HOT here already. In fact, it will be well into the mid nineties sometime this afternoon and we might be fortunate to get down toward seventy at night before going back to the nineties tomorrow. Apparently spring has abruptly ended and the transition to summer this year has been immediate. I will get right on to the thoughts for the week so that I can go stock up on sun screen . . .
Random thought #1 – Having pancakes for dinner once and a while is just a fantastic idea and I highly recommend it. Of course I feel a bit like a child somewhere after my third or fourth pancake, but I think that is part of why I enjoy it so much.
Random thought #2 – Another recommendation from me would be to have a cat (or two) that reacts to catnip. A cat getting high on that stuff is endlessly entertaining and especially so now that I know enough to keep my hands away while they are going crazy.
Random thought #3 – We have always had a room in the house that we referred to as the office, but it was mostly just a home for the (desktop) computer and a place to iron clothes. In the near future it will become an official home office that I will be doing actual work from and that concept is a bit scary if only because it is new.
Random thought #4 – There are many reasons that I love flying Jet Blue when I have the opportunity and one of them is that the first checked bag is free. Not only does this help relieve the nightmare that is people bring way to much carry on crap on the plane, but it also makes it easier (and cheaper) for me to bring home liquid goodies from my travels.
Random thought #5 – In my efforts to decide what season is my favorite for seasonal craft beers, I have a reason to put another check mark in the column for spring (at least for now). After having some Magic Hat Wacko last night, I have to say that I enjoy their Vinyl more. So for this particular brewery and the first two seasons of the year I give the win to spring.

Not really as crazy as the name would suggest.

A bit of beet juice for color.
