What a good Saturday morning!  This may be the earliest that I have ever written a post since this whole thing started, but for good reason since I have many hours of beer ahead.

Before getting to that, I must make a brief mention of yesterday.  Last night I was fortunate enough (via the generosity of Emily and Ian) to be able to tag along on a bit of a pub crawl with a bunch of great beer people.  We all piled into a big bus to be chauffeured around Orlando to Redlight Redlight, then to Will’s Pub, and finally to the House of Beer.  Likely a bit more on that to follow when I have more time to reminisce and to get the few pictures I took uploaded and usable.

Now on to the reason for the early post.  Again via the generosity of Emily and Ian, The Wife and I landed volunteer spots at the Beer Festival of the South.  It is the first year that the public has the opportunity to attend this event and what better way to experience it than to be able to serve some of the good beer that will be there.  It should be a fun time and, if last night was any indication, we will meet many more great people.

So, to summarize what everyone is dealing with today.  I got to bed around four in the morning and after about four hours of rest I am up to get ready to head to the festival.  The Wife could not come with last night because she was in bed early to get a good night of rest so that she could compete in a triathlon this morning.  She is about an hour and a half into the competition already as this is being written.  How awesome is she?!  Emily got less sleep than I because she had to teach a class this morning (right now) before heading off to the festival.  Ian may have gotten a few more minutes of sleep, but probably not because he has to be at the festival to work even earlier than us.  Rob is in Rochester to attend a three day structures seminar for examination purposes.  I feel a little bad for him, but he will be OK.

That is all for now, but a recap of everything will be coming when we all have caught up on sleep.
