And the winners are . . .

I am taking a break from “My Tasting Ways” today to deal with much more important business.  The Stella Artois glassware give away that was announced Monday ended last night and today the two winners were chosen.  Though the method used for picking the winners is explained (and shown) in the video, I will spell it out here as well in case I forgot something.

Wanting to pick the winners as randomly as possible, our dogs Faegan and Junior were called upon to select the numbers for me.  There were twenty three entries and each comment was assigned a number corresponding to the order they were posted.  I put numbers zero through nine on some sticks (pieces of wood actually) that would serve as the ping pong balls for the lottery.

First, numbers zero, one, and two (representing the first digit of the winning number) were tossed into the yard and the first one grabbed by one of the dogs became half of the winning number.  Then the sticks necessary to complete the second digit of the winning number were thrown into the yard for the dogs to choose from.  The combination of the two was the winning comment and the process was repeated for the second prize package.

The dogs didn’t cooperate initially,  but the winners were chosen in pretty short order.  If you were one of the lucky two you have the dogs to thank and if you were not, they send their apologies.  There will be more stuff given away on this site so you all will have more chances to win good beer stuff.
