Knowing that you like beer is a start, but knowing exactly what you like in a beer is something else. Then being able to describe that certain something is yet another thing altogether. One nice part about personally evaluating a beer is that you can’t really be wrong in your description. You see what you see, smell what you smell, and taste what you taste.
Per a request earlier this week from Lynna, I have found the post that I read on the Brookston Beer Bulletin that has a very good list of beer tasting terms. I try to use a few of these descriptions in my beer reviews, but sometimes I make up words of my own that may not make sense to anyone but me. As I continue to evaluate beers, my desire would be to incorporate all of these terms into my beer-reviewing arsenal.

The next story I pass along is partly because I miss having a Wegmans nearby and partly because I know that I have at least one reader in the Syracuse area.
The beers that we all have available to us varies depending on where we live. The ones from the big brewers are always around, but it’s exciting to see other breweries getting their products out there to a wider audience. When it comes down to it, having choices is always a good thing, so what Wegmans has done in the last year or so is a very good thing for beer lovers.

Thank you, sir! I saved the list on my desktop so I can use it in the future.
